FAQ
How often should I have my carpets and upholstery cleaned?
Independent research recommends carpets and upholstery to be cleaned every 12-18 months. This will not only extend the life of your furnishings and leaving them cleaner and brighter also killing any bacteria present, it also helps families who suffer from allergies.
Can we walk on carpets before they are dried out?
Carpets benefit most from being allowed to dry fully before being walked on. However, where this is not possible, for instance say hall/stairs or lounge, we would advise you the customer only in clean indoor slippers or clean white socks.
Once I’ve had my carpets cleaned,
will they get dirtier quicker?
This was true many years ago when shampooing carpets. This is because shampoo tends to be rather sticky and therefore a sticky residue is left behind and over a short period of time this sticky residue attracts dirt and once again the carpet needs cleaning. We use hot water extraction, a deep cleaning system which will leave your carpets brighter and fresher than ever before with no sticky residues left behind.
Will my carpet shrink after it has been cleaned?
No. Years ago carpets could shrink when cleaned, due to the manufacturers using jute as a carpet backing. Nowadays, the vast majority have a synthetic backing. Often carpets, in the past, were over wet by inexperienced carpet cleaners or people hiring machines. These problems do not occur when using our services.
Why would we choose Total Carpet Cleaning when we
could hire a machine?
Hiring a carpet-cleaning machine would be almost certainly mean cleaning with a shampoo, which we discussed earlier. Total Carpet Cleaning using the most advanced hot water extraction machine on the market with a power scrubber which clean the carpets both sides and with triple vac leaves the carpets dryer than other companies. We also have turbo carpet dryers to leave the carpets nearly dry before we leave makes life easier for you’re the customer.
